Business Sale (M&A) Advisory

Private Equity Investments

Our professionals seek acquisitions in partnership with leading private equity firms.  We maintain relationships with capital providers who, collectively, have hundreds of millions of dollars in available capital.  We seek investments that fit with our relevant transaction experience, discussed above.    

We source acquisition opportunities among middle-market private companies.  We believe that our deep experience in selling companies makes us ideal buy-side partners.  This includes a heightened awareness of the concerns of sellers: confidentiality, a reasonable due diligence process, and speed and certainty of closing, among others.  Additionally, our Managing Principals have experience as owners and investors and members of the board of directors of various private companies.    

Our core investment approach centers on investing in companies that have achieved success but would benefit from professionalizing various aspects of their business operation.  We are also focused on identifying strategic paths to grow an already successful business, whether through acquiring new customers or undertaking acquisitions.  Other key strategic initiatives include identifying and recruiting additional management team members.  A strategic plan is created for each investment opportunity, with the goal of maximizing the value the business and providing opportunities for management teams to develop their careers and build wealth. 

Deal Criteria: We seek to acquire businesses that would benefit from our strategic experience and that have at least $5 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA).

Management Buyout (MBO)

In many cases, the owner of a company asks the senior management team if they are interested in acquiring the company as the owner approaches retirement. The EquiNova Capital team provides management teams with access to the debt and equity capital needed to make a potential MBO become a reality.
